Checking amount of emails repeatedly?

Hey guys, thanks for making HigLabo. I am building a program the will every 50 seconds check my gmail account for the current amount of emails in the inbox, and if there is a new one add it to a list.

This works fine if I create a new Pop3 client every 50 seconds and authorize it. But after doing that for five minutes it seems to glich out. So I tried to do it with one Pop3 Client/Connection. But it wont give the current count of emails in my inbox, for example if I send a email and the program is running it still has the same number of emails when it started. Even though I asked the server for the current amount. Anyway is the a problem with Google or do I need to code this differently? Thanks - Matt

Happy new year!

Gmail sometimes show defferent behavior compare with other pop3 server.
Many fact has been reported on C#Mail discussions.
HigLabo.Mail is simply send pop3 command and get response text and parse it.
It would be GMail problem(or spec).

I recommend that 50 seconds is too much frequent.
Try to change more long interval.
